MyMovies.Net Update
What
madness is this?! "I thought we'd seen the last of this guy and him inane
blitherings!" Alas no. I'm back with another bout of blogging after the fun and
frolics of the London Film Festival and a little film called "Quantum
of Solace" - no big shakes really, I'm sure it will raise a few
eyebrows and then dissapear off in to the sunset...what's that you say? £15.4
million! One weekend!!! Ah. That Bond fella certainly has some pull and no
shortage of Sexy. And this week I'm all about the Sexy as Elizabeth Banks,
Jessica Biel and Colin Farrell no less bring Sexy Back, forth and back again!!
First
out of the polling station is "Scrubs" star Elizabeth Banks. The impossibly
lovely
Miss Banks takes on the role of Laura Bush in Oliver Stone's Oval
Office Opus "W.". Maybe not the best platform for the "Zack and Miri" star but
with Kevin Smith's comedy hot on its heels this should prove to be the first
step in a nice one-two for The Banks!
With the bar raised so high in the Sexy stakes this week imagine my surprise
when
Jessica Biel rocked up and blew our proverbial socks off! Biel has
been making quite a stir in "Easy Virtue", the 20s-set period romp that see
Timberlake's current squeeze rocking the boat for the well-to-do landed gentry
types!
And
rounding things off this week is passive-aggressive icon Colin Farrell. Check
out that hair! How do you get locks like that?! Either way, Farrell finds
himself dancing around a fairly formulaic cop thriller with Ed Norton in "Pride
and Glory" but we won't hold that against him.
And to prove once and for all that there's nothing Sexy about Tom Hanks here's
the new trailer for "Angels
& Demons" featuring his startling, ever-changing hair!

MyMovies.Net Update
Just
like Enrique Iglesias says; "you can run, you can hide but you can't escape my
love" or this Blog apparently. Yes, I'm back to give you the skinny on all
things movie-related from Bredan Fraser's inflated sense of self to some hot
young thing making things happen in the pockets of teen boys everywhere. Yep,
you guessed it! This week we'll be taking a magical mystery tour through "The
Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" as well as Urban Dance Hit (TM) "Make it
Happen".
So, who here among us wanted another "Mummy" film? Hands
up please. Yes...I thought not. Well, like it or not (and let's err on the side
of 'not' for argument's sake) Bredan Fraser and Jet Li have joined forces to
bring you "The
Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor". A waste of everyone's time
really but there you have it in all its undead, mummified glory. But don't let
me put you off! At least wait until you've seen this
behind the scenes feature replete with a dumbstruck Fraser. And then
you can be put off!
If
that wasn't enough to put you off films forever then this next effort might just
do the trick! From the guy that brought you "Step Up" (eek) comes another
excersise in horribleness entitled "Make
it Happen" featuring that fresh-faced "Death Proof" star Mary
Elizabeth Winstead. This is a by-the-numbers slice of awfulness pockmarked only
by the odd decent dance routine or two. Avoid like a plague of zombies. No
really. What are you still doing here? Run for the hills I say!! OK, if that's
how you want to play it -
take this! Just a taste of the evil this film possesses!
Shock
and indeed horror. There's actually quite a strong film out this week in the
guise of "Death
Defying Acts". This period thriller piece stars Guy Pearce as the
infamous Harry Houdini who, when staying in 1920's London, becomes entangled
with Catherine Zeta-Jones' psychic. You may have seen it all before but this one
is still worth a look if only because the rest of this week's releases are so
toxic!
Well that's your lot for another week. But to end with a wizardry flourish
befitting of the Great Houdini himself I'll sign off with this brand new teaser
for "Harry
Potter and The Half-Blood Prince".

MyMovies.Net Update
Hey
all you film loving, movie worshipping readers out there. I come before you a
boy who has just completed the trials and tribulations that a week's work
experience with the MyMovies team brings. . . . and yet they're still letting me
loose on their blog, a horrible mistake? I can tell you it differed hugely from
your typical monotonous week that most kids my age endure as a matter of
necessity; I would gladly work here all summer given the chance, madness? I can
tell you right now it was an experience I shall never forget, whether that’s for
the right reasons or not I have yet to decide!
And now onto more pressing movie related matters:
The week started with the general yet surprising hub bub of "Donkey
Punch" and before all you sado-masochists out there get a bit too
excited it's the title of choice for director Olly Blackburn's latest
contribution to the world of film. The interview MyMovies had with the cast was
'different' to say the least with more surreal moments than you can shake a
stick at!
In
other films news we see the comical capers of "Wall-E"
hitting our screen, this tin man will bring that warm fuzzy feeling to you that
some films just can't deliver, truly a film not to miss.
This
week the much-anticipated Batman- "The
Dark Knight" will be released. This long awaited film is set not to
disappoint with Christian Bale leading Batman into the unknown, or more
specifically into the clutches of notorious Joker (Heath Ledger). Heath
contributes that hair-raising menace the part so desperately needed, has batman
met his match!
All in all I can say that here at MyMovies.Net they really do everything in
there power to try to satiate your thirst for film knowledge, entertaining you
at every corner, from hilarious anecdotes to fully fledged interviews and yeah
in the process they seem to have a good time too. I myself have had a great
experience, learnt allot about the industry and managed to look at some truly
kick-ass movies and for a teen boy what more can you really ask for.
